Oatmeal Crisp for Apples, Pears, or Peaches
Crumb topping: 9x13 pan 8x8 pan Ingredients 1cup 3/4cup EACH: Brown Sugar, Flour & Oatmeal 1/2tsp 1/3 tsp Cinnamon 1/4tsp 1/8 tsp EACH: Nutmeg & Salt 1/2cup 1/3 cup Melted Butter Fruit: prepare a pan with cooking spray or coat with butter 9x13 pan 8x8 pan Ingredients 6-7 cups 4-5 cups Apples (peeled, cored sliced) 3 Tbsp 2 Tbsp Flour 3 Tbsp 2 Tbsp Sugar Combine apples (or other fruit) with flour and sugar, pour into pan. Mix crumb topping in a separate bowl with a pastry blender, or forks. Sprinkle on fruit, do not pat. Bake in a preheated oven 375 for 40-50 min - till fruit has boiled and thickened. Variations: Pear crisp: replace apples with pears Apple, Pear & Cranberry: 5-6 c apples or pears and 2 c fresh or frozen cranberries for 9x13 Peach: replace peaches with apples (strain if juicy) and double flour in base. Apple Blackberry - Peach Black berry: mix 2 cups of blackberries in above apple or peach crisp
